Over 30 Years Of Automotive Transmission Diagnostics

About Myself

October 1, 1982 to present

R&R/Rebuilder/Diagnostic Technician

Started out as a transmission installer at an Aamco in Ft. Lauderdale and worked my way to rebuilder in 6 months then to a diagnostic tech throughout the years for several different shops the last 10 years at an Aamco in Miami.

After 28 years in the industry I've become a technical advisor for a transmission kit suppliers, specialty product manufacturer, a converter rebuild company and then the last 7 1/2 years as a hot line technician and technical speaker at seminars around the world along with writing articles for a Gears Magazine.

ATSG (Automatic Transmission Service Group)

ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association)

Oxnard, California

August 2008 to present

Senior Technical Advisor

From my office at home in south Florida (minimum of 12-13 hours a day, not all for the company) I write monthly tech articles for Gears magazine, and take tech calls for ATRA subscribers from around the world. I'm also on the technical committee for TCRA (Torque Converter Rebuilders Association),

I am a member of several technical internet forums that average over 250 emails a day (obviously I don't read all of them, just the important ones). I speak at ATRA seminars around the country and some on my own around the world. One day a week I go out to local transmission shops to help diagnose problems or just plain get my hands dirty, so I don't lose touch with my roots.
